Tabacón Thermal Resort & Spa.
The resort that put the town of La Fortuna in Costa Rica on the map, Tabacón is home to the largest network of naturally occurring thermal springs in the country with 18 pools ranging in temperature from 75-105 degrees. The resort was responsible for rewilding 900 acres of pastureland back in the 90s and is now surrounded by a tropical rainforest that’s home to 200 species of plant and indigenous wildlife, including the endangered green macaw. All this in the shadow of the Arenal volcano.
